Cambridge University Dancesport Team

The Cambridge University Dancesport Team (CUDT) represents the University of Cambridge at national dancesport competitions. Up till 2026, CUDT have been National Champions for the past 12 years and Varsity Champions for the past 14 years.

Our team members train and compete in ten-dance, including:

5 Ballroom dances - Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz

5 Latin dances - Cha-cha-cha, Jive, Samba, Rumba, and Paso Doble

We welcome any university students and alumni from the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University. No matter your prior experience - many of our members started without knowing anything about dance, and they can still compete with us in the Nationals after 5 months of learning!

Aside from competitive dancesport, CUDT members also showdance and perform in events hosted by the University, the local community, and even corporates. We have recently performed in various Mayballs and the Mill Road Winter Fair.

Join us to share our passion and enjoy the charm of dancesport with like-minded individuals!
