For complete beginners who hasn't attended any lessons before 1st March, 2026, you can join us simply by reaching out to our Beginners' Captains, or by attending one of our beginner's lessons during Michaelmas.
For seasoned dancers, come along to the team trials to meet our coaches and captains. The trial is held annually at the start of the Michaelmas, and it's a chance for you to show us what you've got.
As for those who are hoping to see whether dance is for you, find us around in Cambridge over the upcoming 2026 Freshers' Week! We will be in the Cambridge University Sports Fair, the Cambridge University Student Union Freshers' Fair, and running a few demonstrations and taster sessions around colleges when Michaelmas starts. Have a look at our upcoming events.

Details regarding the Trial
Wear clothes that you feel comfortable to dance in, along with your dance shoes or trainers.
For the trial this year, you will be asked to dance some Waltz and Cha-cha-cha for our coaches. The choreographies will be sent to those who signed up a few weeks before trials.
You may also be asked to dance quickstep and jive for our coaches. You may use your own choreography.
If you are unavailable for the trial but keen to dance with us, please still fill in the sign-upform and contact the Captains.
Photos and videos will be taken during the trial for our coaches and captains to help make decisions about partnering. They will be destroyed when we have no use of them after partnering.
